A Comprehensive Guide on Female Bodybuilding

Bodybuilding is like a sport. It needs discipline, daily input and hard work, with devoted preparation. Although may people still live under the notion that bodybuilding is not meant for women, it is common to see a female body builder around. This means more and more women are taking interest in natural bodybuilding and want to have a strong, toned muscular body. In fact it is more challenging for muscular women, as men have hormones on their side to develop all those muscles. In short, female body builder will have to work much harder to get those muscles.

As men are built different from the women, the strategy needs to be different. The routine of diet and exercises is completely different for each of them. The objectives of natural bodybuilding for women have changed radically with time. Women start with weight and resistance training.  Every muscle group needs to be exercised at least once per week. As the upper and lower body of a woman is curvaceous, she would need special and different exercises. More emphasis is laid on hip flexors and inner and outer thighs. The thighs are worked with presses and curls as well as leg extensions.
For the upper body, the pectoral muscles are worked on with machine presses, dumbbell, arm work and shoulder presses.

The major secret for all female body builders also depends a great deal on what they eat. They need carbohydrates, fats, and dietary fiber to restore the muscles they have worked upon. If one is not eating the right foods in the right proportion, then they won’t be able to se complete results of all the hard work behind natural bodybuilding.

Here are some of the best foods that are important for muscle growth:
·       Carbohydrate foods
·       Healthy fat
·       Vegetables

As you need a regular supply of energy during workouts, ignoring your body will only make the muscles weak. Brown rice and whole wheat bread are examples of good carbohydrates. Proteins are a must for building those muscles and repairing worn out tissues. In fact these muscular women involved in natural body building should take protein every 4 hours. Beans, turkey, tuna are examples of food rich in protein. As for fat, eat only healthy fats like coconut oil, olive oil and avocado. Avoid palm oil, animal fat and groundnut oil. Eat lots of green vegetables and drink plenty of water.
Any supplements?
Supplements can be taken but only under the guidance of your fitness expert. Many natural supplements are available in the market that assists with protein metabolizing and fat burning. Although one should always try to take in more of the natural foods and depend the least on any artificial supplements. You will get the results if you are eating right and following the right work out.
